How best to operate a public park
Public parks are an essential recreation element for either rural or urban areas. Recently I researched on the web the various sources of information on how best to operate a public park. Suffice to say that the best information is both American and English. And for all of you who prefer the English way of efficiency both in horticulture and life in general just have a look at the home page of CABE - the authority which oversees all aspects of public parks & public buildings throughout the UK:
It is my optimistic desire that Dublin City Council as well as the many county councils around Ireland will take note of the above websites because valuable information is available on how to maximise the environmental, recreational & economic aspects of a public park. This would be a positive move for all city councils & county councils. In short our public parks need to be improved and the sooner the better.

You finish this post by telling us that UK and American practices should be followed and "the sooner
the better" which implies that if they are not then there is some dire consequence for Irish Public Parks but you don't tell us what this is.
At one point you say "without furter explanation " when in fact you have not done any explaing at all. You also make no attempt to tell to what extent UK and US standards have been a sucess or otherwise. And indeed how they would fit in with current practice here in Ireland.
This really wont do. You critise
our Parks and those who run them and make a generalised comment that we should look for guidance from overseas but you do not offer us any real critique ...
....which leaves one to wonder if in fact you have one. But if by some chance you do have one should you not share it with us?
